This edition of Fitted Fridays is inspired by the gold rush that spurred a massive population boom in Seattle, Washington. In August, 1896, gold was found in a creek feeding northwestern Canada's Klondike River, a tributary of the Yukon River. Nearly a year later, '68 rich men' stepped off a ship in Seattle with 'a ton of gold' from the Klondike region. Thus began the gold rush of 1897-1898 and caused people from all over the United States to move to Seattle in search of riches.
