For FW19, adidas Consortium has teamed up with Perth-based sneaker and apparel retailer Highs and Lows in their latest celebration of the Torsion System Technology. For their take on the new version, Highs and Lows looked to that original shoe and stripped back its colours for a more refined, minimalist reimagining. The palette combines with an equally understated range of materials, with aged rubber and premium leathers creating the appearance of a shoe lifted straight from the archives. This blast-from-the-past approach is brought into the present day through the Torsion Edberg Comp’s use of neoprene and EVA cushioning, plus of course the implementation of Torsion System technology. The result is a shoe with one foot on the courts of the past and one foot on the streets of today: a perfect combination for celebrating Torsion System technology and the ultra-flexible stability it provides.
