On 05/10/2019 we teamed up with Jordan Brand to throw a block party in front of our New Orleans location from 5pm-8pm.We released the Air Jordan 1 Nike SB light bone, 504 pair of an Air Jordan 1 Low x Politics, a Jordan Brand x Politics clothing capsule, a Politics x JSP pair of sweatpants, along with a few other surprises. We worked with Humidity Skateshop to add a skate aspect to the block party this year. This included a few skate obstacles in the street and a shirt that we both worked on together. Red Bull also helped on the skate side by donating a ramp for the event.
It isn't a Block Party without food, drinks, art, and music. So we had performances by Mannie Fresh, Lil Keed, Loudiene, Mhadi G, and Wochee. DJ Digital provided the sounds and Larry Morrow hosted the event. Jay McKay provided a live painting experience and Nonna Mia Cafe & Pizzeria served delicious meals and drinks. Finlandia and El Jimador created custom cocktails for all attendees that were 21 and over. A portion of the proceeds from this event were donated to The Youth Rebuilding New Orleans, and we took a moment at the event to recognize the great work they are doing in New Orleans.
