Politics Spring ’25 Collection
March 18, 2025
In case you missed it, we released the Air Jordan 1 High 85 with Jordan Brand during championship weekend in New Orleans. If you were in the city and stopped by the shop to ask about the shoe—our team sent you to a special pop-up where you could reserve a timeslot to get your pair. Once reserved, you were guided to a secret location in the French Quarter, where white-glove service and champagne awaited, delivering a premium VIP experience for the locals.
Michael Jordan is one of the world's biggest superstars, so it’s only fitting that one of the most legendary figures in history also has one of the most iconic sneakers. The Air Jordan 1 High '85 'Bred' is one of Michael’s earliest signature shoes and is truly a part of sneaker history. When the shoe debuted, the NBA had a strict dress code policy that only allowed players to wear certain sneakers. However, Michael was special. Despite the policy, he chose to wear his own shoe, which led to multiple fines totaling a hefty $410,000. This prompted Nike to nickname the shoe "Banned," as the league essentially attempted to ban it. But you can’t ban greatness, and the Jordan Brand legacy continues to thrive to this day.
