The Nike Air Max Joga Bonito R9 takes Ronaldo Nazário's 1998 Mercurial boot and puts it on the Air Max 95's sole unit, a pairing that should not work as cleanly as it does. The leather upper carries a Metallic Silver finish with Varsity Maize and Varsity Royal overlays nodding to Brazil's 2006 "Joga Bonito" campaign, with visible Max Air cushioning in both heel and forefoot. Two of Nike's most iconic designs, on the same shoe at the same time.
