DJ Poizon Ivy breaks glass ceilings as a female DJ working in an industry typically dominated by males. Ivy, born in Kenya and raised in Dallas, has defeated the odds by becoming the Dallas Mavericks’ first female DJ. This is just one of her many accomplishments -- she is the first female DJ to have been invited to participate in the NBA All-Star Weekend, is the official music and sound coordinator with the Basketball Africa League, and was listed on Forbes “30 Under 30.” Ivy is an inspiration to all female go-getters.
